Cori Nelson

Cori Nelson was born and raised in Wisconsin and has lived in the Fox Valley for many years. The natural world inspires her art as she works with a variety of organic media. A skilled lapidary artist , she sources and cuts her own stone to be used in jewelry making and for display.

Over time, as she collected rocks, Cori began to see the beauty and potential in much more besides stone. She has created baskets from grapevines, sculptures from tree roots, and unique pieces using textiles and fibers. She works with acrylic paint to create functional art pieces, and has a deep love for repurposing everyday items. Cori would love to share her knowledge and passions with you in one of her classes at Birch Art Studio!
